When The Education Collaborative set out to reach more than a million students by 2030, we knew no single institution, and no single country, could carry the work alone. This is why we built the network around regional hubs, which drive context-relevant programs and solutions for stakeholders in their region.
Each hub is led by anchor and exemplar institutions from its own region. They commit resources, share their blueprint of success, and walk alongside peer institutions as they strengthen their own systems. The model puts the universities closest to each region’s students and challenges in the lead, making solutions durable.
East Africa
The founding hub and home to the Systems Change Program and to faculty-led research on collaborative learning outcomes. Guided by the values of Ubuntu.
West Africa
Anchored in Lagos and Berekuso, leading work in employability, entrepreneurship, and student support across the sub-region.
Southern Africa
Building joint research, faculty development, and student-employability programs across the region, with leadership drawn from across Southern African higher education.
