East Africa Convening: Accelerating Entrepreneurship and Graduate Employability for Regional Development
This rapporteur's report documents the proceedings of the Education Collaborative's inaugural East Africa Convening, held October 10 to 11, 2022, at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme "Accelerating Entrepreneurship and Graduate Employability for Regional Development." It captures keynote addresses, panel discussions, and roundtables connecting university leaders, administrators, industry players, regulators, and students across East Africa. Sessions covered the role of regulators in employability, hub strategy, network programs in employability, faculty research, ethics, and entrepreneurship, along with venture funding, industry collaboration, and student reflections.
