Build the systems behind employability.
The Systems Change Program for Employability (SCP-E) is an 18-month process that helps a university strengthen the systems and structures behind graduate employability.
Rooted in the broader Systems Change Program model, SCP-E takes a systems-based approach. Each institution names career leads as employability champions. With training and mentorship, they assess current practice, close the gaps, and build student-centered systems, then get the support to put them to work and grow them.
How the program works
Name your champions
Institutions choose the staff who will lead employability, and pair them with experienced mentors from across the network.
Assess and design
Champions look honestly at current practice, find the gaps, and design student-centered systems that fit their campus.
Put it to work
Targeted support and resources help institutions roll out and sustain the new structures within their departments.
The power of mentorship in building employability ecosystems
Between 2020 and 2023, five mentors from four institutions in three countries supported peer career-services leads at five universities. Together they built systems that strengthened the career readiness of more than 40,000 students.
